How to become a GIF Practitioner
GIF AP Practitioners hold certified competencies to support organisations in the preparation of sustainability reports in accordance with applicable standards, as well as in the design and implementation of ESG risk management systems.
To obtain the GIF AP Practitioner credential, candidates must:

Meet the minimum requirements set out in the technical regulation

Attend the mandatory training course for preparing the examination

Pass a certification examination consisting of three assessments: two written tests and one oral examination

The role of GIF Assessors is critical. They are responsible for planning and conducting the assessment process, coordinating the assessment team, leading the consensus-building process on the final score, and preparing the final assessment report.
For this reason, only Assessors certified under the GIF AP Credentialing System may be appointed by assessment bodies accredited to operate under the GIF model.
To obtain the GIF AP Assessor credential, candidates must:

Meet the knowledge and professional experience requirements set out in the regulation

Demonstrate the soft skills required to conduct an effective assessment process

Attend the professional alignment courses delivered by the GIF Scheme Owner

Pass the certification exam, which includes two written tests and one oral test.
