The assurance of the sustainability report information

The verification of the sustainability report provides all interested parties with a declaration of conformity issued by an accredited body with respect to the ISO/IEC 17029 standard and the Get It Fair program.

The verification is carried out on the sustainability report prepared by the organization with reference to internationally recognized reporting standards [e.g.: GRI, ESRS/VSME, IFRS]

The evaluation process includes part of the activities carried out at the company and part at the organization's premises.

At the end of the process, the body issues a declaration of conformity to be included in the sustainability report before publication and dissemination.

The company declares the level of conformity ["with reference to" or "in accordance with"] and requests the verification with a specific level of assurance, limited or reasonable.

Who verifies

Who verifies

The body receives the sustainability report prepared by the company and appoints an expert holding the GIF AP qualification.

The evaluation of the report includes an activity carried out partly at the client's premises [to learn about the organization, processes and material topics] and partly remotely.

The evaluation is conducted based on the assessment criteria defined by the reporting standard adopted by the company.

The activity is carried out in accordance with procedures compliant with the rules of the program.

The verification can be performed with a "limited" or "reasonable" level of assurance.

At the end, the assessor prepares the report and submits it to the accredited body for approval.

Who decides

Who decides

The body carries out the review of the evaluation report prepared by the Assessor and makes the decision.

At the end, the body issues to the company the declaration of conformity to be included in the final version of the sustainability report before it is published and disclosed.

With a single Due Diligence process, the company can obtain the validation of the ESG Rating, with all the recognitions provided by the program, and the Declaration of Conformity of the Sustainability Report.

This thanks to the integration of the reporting standards requirements into the GIF Framework and of the verification process of the evaluation report.
