Aeroviaggi S.p.A. was founded in Palermo in 1973 by Antonio Mangia. The company operates in the tourism sector as one of the pioneering hotel owners and operators, directly managing 13 properties across Sicily and Sardinia, the two largest islands in the Mediterranean.

In 2019, Marcello Mangia became Chairman and CEO of Aeroviaggi S.p.A., and in July 2021 the company underwent a complete rebranding, becoming Mangia's. Mangia's is an Italian hospitality brand operating in the upper-upscale segment. The brand manages 13 properties in Sicily and Sardinia, including 4- and 5-star resorts and club properties, and is about to launch a new City Hotel line with the acquisition of two historic buildings in Palermo—the Grand Hotel et Des Palmes and Piazza Favaloro Gallo. The remaining Mangia's properties are located in Sardinia, in the northern part of the island: Mangia's Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton near Santa Reparata; TUI Blue Budoni in Budoni; MClub Marmorata in Santa Teresa Gallura; and MClub Del Golfo in Marina di Sorso.

In 2024, the Hotels & Chains Report published by Horwath HTL ranked Mangia's first among Italian hotel chains and fourth among international chains in terms of number of keys achieved in the 5-star and 5-star luxury segments.
