Accredia is the body designated by the Italian Government to certify the competence and impartiality of the organizations and laboratories that verify the conformity of goods and services to standards.

Each European country has its own National Accreditation Body operating in accordance with European Regulation EC 765/2008 and the international standard ISO/IEC 17011.

In Italy, the designated body is Accredia.

Accredia is a recognized association, non-profit, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the national accreditation authority.

The activities of Accredia are organized into three Departments:

• Certification and Inspection
• Testing Laboratories
• Calibration Laboratories
