Accredia
Accredia is the body designated by the Italian Government to attest the competence and impartiality of organizations and laboratories responsible for verifying the conformity of goods and services with applicable standards.
Each European country has a single National Accreditation Body operating in accordance with European Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 and the international standard ISO/IEC 17011.
In Italy, this role is performed by Accredia.
Accredia is a recognized, non-profit association operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which acts as the national authority for accreditation.
Accredia’s activities are structured into three Departments:
- Certification and Inspection
- Testing Laboratories
- Calibration Laboratories
